Homemade PVC Pipe Aerophone

Songs played:
“1979″ -Smashing Pumpkins
“Annie Waits” -Ben Folds
Donnie Darko theme song

This aerophone was built using PVC pipe and a maple frame. You’d be surprised how many instruments can be made out of PVC pipe: didgeridoos, organs, hydraulophones, potato launchers, etc.

Tyler (the instruments creator) wants to sell his PVC aerophone. I’m not sure if he still has it or if he has already sold it, but here is a brief description:

It is well in-tune, with a range of one octave and a fifth (low-F to middle-C). The PVC is hand-tuned and the maple frame has been sanded completely smooth, and is very sturdy. YouTube

Thanks Tyler

Are those flip-flops you’re playing with?

Hey! I really like your aerophone! I’d like to make a similar one for a school project, would you be willing to post the instructions as to how you built yours? Thanks!
