Handmade Dual-Chamber Bamboo Flute from Avi
Check out this spectacular dual-chamber flute made by Avi.
This flute, handmade from Chinese yellow bamboo, is based on traditional Native American style flutes but with an upwards pointing resonating chamber extension. This flute has two blow holes, five finger holes, two sound chambers, and two birds. This flute’s voice is paralyzing to say the least - singing traditional Native American notes with a deep drone throughout. This is just one of many successful original musical creations made by Avi. This flute is both a work of art and a functioning instrument. Bravo!
Avi and his mother Ingrid (who’s been making flutes for 40 years and is a master flute maker) run a small business called “Flutes for the Journey.” They make woodwind instruments and didjeridus mostly. Check them out here: www.flutesforthejourney.com
